AltimaCRM at iFX Expo International 2024: What We Showed, Who We Met, and What Comes Next

Limassol in June is a particular kind of experience. The iFX Expo International draws the people who actually run brokerage operations in Europe , compliance heads, CTOs, operations managers, IB network directors , and puts them in the same building for three days. The conversations are different from a sales conference. These are operators, and they ask specific questions.
AltimaCRM was at Booth 56 at the City of Dreams Mediterranean from June 18 to 20. Here is an honest account of what happened.

Who Came to the Booth

The profile of visitors at iFX Expo International skews toward established brokerages rather than new entrants. CySEC-regulated firms, FCA-passported operations expanding into Europe, brokers running both retail and institutional client books. Several were evaluating CRM platforms specifically , frustrated with their current setup and looking for something built for the complexity of a multi-regulatory, multi-platform environment.

The conversation that came up most often was not about features. It was about integration depth. Brokers have been burned by CRMs that claim to connect with MT5 but require manual exports to get data into the platform. They want to know whether the connection is real, what happens when the trading platform updates, and who maintains the integration on an ongoing basis.

We ran live demonstrations showing actual MT5 data flowing into AltimaCRM in real time , positions updating, deposits triggering CRM workflows, IB commission calculations running against live trading volume. That is a different conversation than a slide deck.

What We Introduced at the Expo

The Limassol event was used to walk brokers through several updates that had recently gone into production.

The VoIP communication layer inside AltimaCRM had been updated to improve how calls are logged, tracked, and tied to client records. For retention teams that make high volumes of outbound calls, the difference between a system where call data is stored alongside the full client history versus a separate VoIP platform is significant. Agents stop switching windows mid-call. Call outcomes are recorded against the right client record automatically.

Lead scoring logic had also been refined based on behavior patterns observed across the AltimaCRM client base. The updated scoring model weights trading activity and deposit behavior more heavily than demographic signals, which produces better prioritization for sales teams working large lead volumes.

cTrader and Match-Trader environment support was expanded, reflecting the growing share of European-regulated brokers running those platforms alongside or instead of MT5.

The Conversations That Mattered

Beyond the product demonstrations, the expo was useful for the conversations that happen at the margins , the meetings with payment processors, platform providers, and liquidity partners that shape what integrations get prioritized over the next 12 months.

The European and Middle Eastern brokerage market is consolidating in interesting ways. Smaller brokers are being squeezed by compliance costs and competing with well-capitalized regional operators. The ones that are growing are, almost without exception, the ones that have built operational efficiency into their infrastructure rather than trying to hire their way out of manual processes.

That observation shaped several of the integration discussions we had in Limassol, and some of those conversations are now live in the AltimaCRM ecosystem.
